I am very happy with the unit. I am now ready to disconnect my VOIP line and that will save me lot of money every month. We are already saving a lot of money for international calls by using cheaper internet service providers. Good thing is that our friends and relatives can still keep calling us using our POTS number.

Working on a project recently, we needed to have three people on the line. NONE of us had three-way calling, except for my PhoneGnome! So I did the call setup, and it worked perfectly.

I have the box configured to work with Gizmoproject and Onesuite. You can also flash an old Sipura 3000 ATA for no extra cost. It has a lot of the management features of Sunrocket, but isn/t tied to a single provider.

I have been using phonegnome and found it great to call other phonegnomers for free and other phones world over at very good rates with great quality.

I used the device for a little bit when it first came out and it was pretty awesome even back then. I started using it again about two weeks ago and found it to be an indispensable tool. The security screen option and call logs alone make it worth the money.

I have found total freedom in long distance calling anywhere in the US for practically free. I was so tired of the long distance companies and plans. I was so tired of paying those huge bills that I decided to stop and started using a prepaid Phone Card. My biggest frustration was having to dial the 1 800 number, then entering the PIN number - I felt like I had "to go to work" just thinking of punching 21 numbers before I could actually access a dial tone to make my long distance call - imagine, if I dialed one wrong number in the process, I would have to start all over again! Then, PhoneGnome came and all those problems were solved.

It automatically (automagically?) chooses the lowest cost way to complete my calls: Free to other people with PhoneGnomes; an Internet Phone Company for toll calls; and it falls back to the regular telephone system if the first two don't work for some reason. And if I'm not happy with the company providing my long distance, I can just change it on my PhoneGnome page. No calling the phone company, no switching fees.

I have the freedom to choose any long distance provider and can make free long distance calls to all other users who have an internet phone. Definitely worth getting.

They will allow me to interface my PSTN line with anyone and everyone. For $100 or so for the PhoneGnome and some VoIP minutes from Voxee from time to time, I am definitely getting more than my money's worth here.

It took me no time to make it work. I added a low cost Internet calling service for long distance and international calls. What I can tell you now is that I'm making calls from my house phone to Belgium for free and without a computer....

The little Gnome offers up some pretty big features, but what I like most is being able to pick up the phone anytime and visit for as long as I like with family back in the States, without the worry of cost or poor quality encountered using other services.

I've had the phonegnome for a few months already, and quite honestly, I sometimes forget that it is hooked up! Once a month though, I get a great reminder, a lower phone bill! In the past, my regional calls were 2-3x more expensive per minute than my Long Distance! Using the PhoneGnome with an internet telephone service provider has allowed me to call both Regional and Long Distance calls at tremendous discounts. It has also given us the security of a land line with our original phone number!

I have been using this device, and have been able to make very cheap longdistance calls using my own providers. There is no monthly charges and one can make FREE calls to most SIP phones and all PhoneGnome phones.

I purchased PhoneGnome to make unlimited calls to anywhere in the United States for $15 a month. I keep my local phone number and local 911 service. Even if the internet is not available my local phone company will take over even during a power failure, although I have to pay the higher phone company rates. I don't have to worry about not having phone service. It is the best of both worlds. I originally hooked up only one phone to the PhoneGnome, but now I have all phones connected to the one PhoneGnome unit. I have all 12 phone extensions able to make long distance calls over the internet using PhoneGnome. My local phone company's caller ID still works with PhoneGnome connected. PhoneGnome always lets me know after dialing if I connect via the internet or local phone company.
