Generally success with the Nokia SIP software seems a bit hit and miss. If the steps shown here aren't working, we don't know what else to try.

Nokia is still clearly working out bugs and issues in their SIP support. Some problems can be resolved by loading new firmware using the Nokia Software Updater: http://europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate

I did everything THREE TIMES and it still does not work.
connection always fails when I switch form.

When I get to step 4, the first part is correct in my Nokia 8gb but

Go to Tools / Settings / Connection / Internet Tel. Settings

Create a new profile for “gnome, name it “gnome

In Connectivity / Internet tel. / Preferred profile (here there is no “preferred profile” the different internet access points show up, then if I highlight the one I am going to use and hit options it says, “connect to service, change service, use hidden network, refresh, settings, help and exit” when I hit change services I get the gnome and default so I choose gnome.

I finish out the rest, but still do not get a connections.

what am I doing wrong???????

Choose “gnome

Go back to Connection / SIP settings / gnome and change the Registration from (when needed) to (Always on) now your phone will register to the PhoneGnome network.
