Yes, but will it receive incoming phonegnome calls?
I’ve been doing this with the nokia n80ie for a couple of weeks now. On the n80ie you can program up to two voip providers, I use phonegnome and truphone. All my outgoing calls go through truphone or pg and my pg incoming calls are routed via truphone’s network via pg’s find me/follow me feature since nokia does not support stun for pg on the n80ie.

It appears as though all bets are off when more than one SIP provider is setup on these Nokia phones.
The SIP stack in the N95 seems a bit less fragile than the N80i version, but that could just be luck or sunspots. The issue isn’t STUN per se – the PhoneGnome system tries to help the phone with that – the bigger problem is that the Nokia just doesn’t do a very good job in keeping router sessions (pinholes) open. The results can vary with different routers, but the N95 works for incoming calls in our testing.

Is there anyway to stop the N95 using a Wifi APN and use a Network APN (3G or HSDPA)
Its a wonderful application but we dont always have wifi coverage

Hi all,
I can set up the N95, but I can’t find “connection / Internet Tel. Settings” in the ’step 4′ – where exactly it should be?
thanks

I did everything THREE TIMES and it still does not work.
connection always fails when I switch form.
When I get to step 4, the first part is correct in my Nokia 8gb but
Go to Tools / Settings / Connection / Internet Tel. Settings
Create a new profile for “gnomeâ€, name it “gnomeâ€
In Connectivity / Internet tel. / Preferred profile (here there is no “preferred profile” the different internet access points show up, then if I highlight the one I am going to use and hit options it says, “connect to service, change service, use hidden network, refresh, settings, help and exit” when I hit change services I get the gnome and default so I choose gnome.
I finish out the rest, but still do not get a connections.
what am I doing wrong???????
Choose “gnomeâ€
Go back to Connection / SIP settings / gnome and change the Registration from (when needed) to (Always on) now your phone will register to the PhoneGnome network.

Nokia is still clearly working out bugs and issues in their SIP support. Some problems can be resolved by loading new firmware using the Nokia Software Updater: http://europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate

Generally success with the Nokia SIP software seems a bit hit and miss. If the steps shown here aren’t working, we don’t know what else to try.
