Use your existing number as your GrandCentral number with PhoneGnome
We have in the labs the ability to have PhoneGnome make it so your existing home number works as your GrandCentral number. This way, you don’t need to tell people to call a new number (some people may want to do that, which is fine, but others may prefer to just have the GrandCentral features apply to their existing phone and phone number).
At this point it’s an internal feature, so if you want to try it, you’ll need to request it from our support dept via email (support AT televolution.com) but if enough people are interested, we can make it a standard feature available on the My PhoneGnome site.
Unfortunately, GrandCentral doesn’t support any SIP interfacing , so it requires use of the PSTN as the interconnect, which means ITSP minutes consumed for inbound calls (to pass them from PhoneGnome to GrandCentral). Hopefully GrandCentral will support accepting calls via SIP in the future.
